Computing provision

Standard resources

The following computing facilities are available to all members of the Department of Aeronautics:

  • Access to central ICT facilities (including an email address, computer account, OneDrive);

  • Use of computers available in shared teaching spaces (such as CAGB 203, SKEM 208);

  • Access to the department-managed Linux environment and compute cluster;

Available hardware

In addition to the common services provided above, some user groups may be provided with computer hardware as follows:

  • Academic and Professional staff are provided with a standard ICT-managed laptop or PC;

  • Research staff and research students are entitled to a standard ICT-managed laptop or PC, as well as any computing facilities supplied via their research grants (consult your supervisor for further information);

  • Undergraduate students are provided with an iPad and access to the ICT-managed computers in CAGB 205.

  • Taught postgraduate students are able to access the ICT-managed computers in CAGB 146b.
